Sean King III Slams Jessie Rosas Out in 36 Seconds at Noche UFC
Sean King III needed 36 seconds to introduce himself to the UFC. The undefeated New Orleans featherweight slammed Jessie Rosas unconscious in the opening prelim of Noche UFC, then celebrated with backflips on the cage while the echo in Desert Diamond Arena was still rising.
Officially it is a knockout by slam and punches at 0:36 of Round 1. Referee Brad Frank waved it off after Rosas hit the canvas and stayed there.
The UFC graphic listed King at 7-0 and Rosas at 8-2 when the result posted. King is now 1-0 inside the Octagon. Rosas is 0-1 after his debut as the older brother of Raul Rosas Jr.
King closed the distance after early kicks, locked the body, and lifted Rosas off the floor. The slam put Rosas out on impact. King dropped a few more punches before Frank could get in, then turned and ran the fence.
The clip shows the rest of the introduction. King climbed the cage under the “SEAN KING III” banner, flipped, landed, and kept grinning while officials checked the man in green shorts. Another banner behind him read “THE KING OF NEW ORLEANS.”
That nickname is the one he brought from Louisiana. He stepped in on short notice for the Mexican Independence Day card in Glendale and left with the fastest finish of the early prelims.
Rosas came in as Tachidito, a 23-year-old grappler with five first-round finishes on his record and a recent title win in Mexico. The family story was part of the booking. The fight did not last long enough for that story to matter.
The stat line is as short as the bout. King landed 7 of 13 significant strikes and 1 of 1 takedowns. Rosas landed 3 of 6 and never got a takedown of his own.
Noche UFC is built for moments that travel. A 36-second slam knockout in a debut does that without a post-fight interview. King did not wait for the microphone. He used the cage.
The rest of the Glendale card still had hours left, from the remaining prelims through Jean Silva versus Jose Delgado. King’s night was already over, and the highlight was already looping.
He is 22, undefeated, and now a UFC winner by one of the uglier slams the promotion has shown this year. Rosas will have to start over from 0-1. King will wait to see who the featherweight division sends next after a statement that lasted less than a minute.
