Alex Usieto Stops Hlaing Htet Aung in Round Two at Lumpinee
Alex Usieto knocked out Hlaing Htet Aung at 1:58 of the second round in strawweight Muay Thai at ONE Friday Fights 171.
The Spanish fighter finished the Myanmar opponent on Friday at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
ONE Championship recorded the result as a knockout in round two.
Usieto, who fights as “El Hombrecillo,” had already hurt Hlaing Htet Aung before the stoppage.
A spinning attack and a heavy body shot put the Myanmar fighter on the canvas, and the referee had to pick up a count while Usieto waited in the center of the ring.
Hlaing Htet Aung beat the count and tried to stay in the fight. He did not last much longer.
Usieto stayed on him after the restart, and the second-round clock stopped at 1:58.
The win was Usieto’s first inside the ONE ring. The 20-year-old from Barcelona trains at Puro Impacto and arrived with regional titles already on his record.
He won the WBC International super bantamweight belt in Spain in December 2025 and added a WKN Intercontinental title in Argentina in April.
Those results were the reason he was booked at Lumpinee against a fighter who already knew the building.
Hlaing Htet Aung represents Zwe Kapin Myay and had appeared for ONE once before. He was stopped by TKO against Wanchainoi at ONE Friday Fights 143 in February.
Friday was a chance to reverse that night. Instead he ran into a younger European who wanted the fight in close and was willing to throw spinning shots to get there.
The finish matters on this card because Friday Fights winners are chasing more than a local decision. Unsigned fighters on the show are competing for a path onto the main roster and a possible six-figure contract.
A second-round knockout at Lumpinee is the kind of tape that keeps a name in that conversation.
Usieto now has a promotional debut that does not need explaining. He did not grind out three rounds. He ended the bout before the halfway mark.
