Petsiam Stays Unbeaten in ONE With Decision Over Wang Zhongxian
Petsiam T2A Waterubon stayed perfect inside ONE Championship on Friday, taking a unanimous decision over China’s Wang Zhongxian in strawweight kickboxing at The Inner Circle 31.
The win lifted the Jor Patreeya product to 3-0 under the ONE banner and kept his weekly Lumpinee run intact at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.
Petsiam entered the bout as a two-division Rajadamnern Stadium champion who has used ONE Friday Fights as a second stage after years of stadium work in Thailand.
He opened his ONE account with a unanimous decision over Japan’s Ryuki Matsuda at ONE Friday Fights 130 in October 2025.
His second appearance was more violent. At ONE Friday Fights 161 in July, Petsiam stopped Azerbaijan’s Nihad Taghizade at 1:53 of the first round with repeated body kicks that produced two knockdowns.
That finish made him a name on the weekly cards. Friday asked a different question, because Wang Zhongxian lasted the full three rounds and forced Petsiam to win on work rate rather than a stoppage.
Wang arrived from the Chinese kickboxing circuit and had already been seen in Bangkok on the Rajadamnern World Series. Those earlier stadium nights showed a compact, front-foot style built on entries, combinations, and movement rather than prolonged clinch work.
The matchup therefore pitted a southpaw Thai with stadium championship pedigree against a Chinese striker trying to take the same Lumpinee stage in kickboxing rules.
ONE Championship billed the result as a peak performance from Petsiam, and the official cards confirmed a clean sweep after nine minutes.
The first round drew early notice from viewers who saw sharp exchanges before the fight settled into a more measured contest. Wang proved durable enough to stay in range, but he could not take the center for long stretches against Petsiam’s kicking game.
That kicking game remains the clearest reason Petsiam looks comfortable in ONE kickboxing. The Taghizade stoppage was built on left middle kicks to the body, and Friday’s decision win showed he can also bank rounds when an opponent refuses to fold.
At 21, Petsiam is still early in his promotional run, yet the résumé already includes Rajadamnern gold at light flyweight and super bantamweight. The jump into ONE kickboxing has not required him to abandon the tools that made him a stadium champion.
A 3-0 start on the Friday Fights and Inner Circle circuit puts him in a small group of Thai strikers who have handled every assignment since crossing over. The weekly series exists to identify fighters who can keep winning against imported styles, and Petsiam has now beaten Japanese, Azerbaijani, and Chinese opposition.
Wang’s night ends as a learning trip. Lasting three rounds against a ranked Thai kickboxer on home turf is not nothing, but the unanimous cards leave him looking for a first ONE win.
The strawweight kickboxing picture in ONE is crowded with specialists who can box, kick, or both. Petsiam’s mix of southpaw kicks and stadium experience gives matchmakers a clear option if they want to keep him on the Lumpinee calendar.
No next opponent has been announced. The logical path is another Friday Fights or Inner Circle date against a striker who can test whether Petsiam’s body kicking travels when the opponent is taller, longer, or more experienced in pure kickboxing.
For now the record is simple. Petsiam is 3-0 in ONE Championship, two of those wins coming by decision and one by first-round TKO.
Wang returns home with a completed three-round fight and a clearer read on the pace required in Bangkok. Petsiam leaves Lumpinee with another win and a growing case that his kickboxing run is more than a side project.
The weekly cards will keep coming. The question for Petsiam is whether the next booking stays at strawweight kickboxing or asks him to prove the same control against a higher-profile name on the same stage.
