Felipe Lima Wins Unanimous Decision Over Morgan Charriere at UFC Paris
Felipe Lima returned from a 15-month layoff with a unanimous decision over Morgan Charriere at UFC Paris on Saturday. The Brazilian featherweight took the judges’ cards 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 on the prelims of UFC Fight Night: Hooker vs. Parnasse.
The win came at Accor Arena against a French opponent in front of a home crowd. Lima entered 14-2 and 2-1 in the UFC. Charriere came in 21-12-1 and 3-3 inside the Octagon.
Lima had not fought since June 28, 2025, when Payton Talbott beat him by unanimous decision at UFC 317. That was a bantamweight bout, and it snapped a 14-fight winning streak.
A back injury later pulled him out of a November 2025 meeting with Daniel Marcos. Saturday marked his return to 145 pounds, where he had already beaten Muhammad Naimov and Miles Johns.
His UFC debut came on short notice at featherweight on June 22, 2024. He submitted Naimov with a rear-naked choke at 1:15 of Round 3 in Riyadh and earned Performance of the Night.
Six months later, he outpointed Johns over three rounds in Tampa. The Talbott loss was his first defeat since his professional debut in 2015.
Lima, 28, was born in Coari, Brazil, and trains at Allstars Training Center. Nicknamed Jungle Boy, he is a former OKTAGON and Fight Club Rush bantamweight champion.
Charriere, 30, is a French featherweight from Poissy known as The Last Pirate. He had already won in this building, knocking out Manolo Zecchini in 2023 and Gabriel Miranda in 2024.
His last fight ended quickly the other way. Melquizael Costa knocked him out with a head kick at 1:14 of Round 1 on Dec. 13, 2025.
Before that, Charriere stopped Nate Landwehr with punches at 0:27 of Round 3 on July 12, 2025. He also dropped a unanimous decision to Nathaniel Wood in March 2025.
Referee Herb Dean started the 145-pound bout. Lima immediately looked sharp, faking a spin and firing a four-punch combination.
Charriere waded into the clinch, but Lima broke free without trouble. They traded jabs before Lima stacked more combinations and scored a late takedown to take the opening round.
Round 2 stayed on the feet. Lima moved forward, kicked the lead leg, jabbed the body, and landed a left hook upstairs.
They traded in the center of the cage, with Lima keeping the cleaner output. All three Sherdog unofficial scores had him up 20-18 after 10 minutes.
Lima closed Round 3 by bursting forward and landing a heavy right hand. Two judges scored the fight 30-27, and the third had it 29-28.
Lima is now 15-2 overall and 3-1 in the UFC. He is 3-0 at featherweight inside the promotion after the one bantamweight loss to Talbott.
Charriere falls to 21-13-1 and 3-4 in the UFC. The defeat was his second straight and the third French loss of the Paris prelims after Michael Aljarouj and Oumar Sy.
A unanimous decision over an unranked home fighter will not by itself put Lima into the official UFC featherweight rankings. It does give him a win after a long layoff and a 3-0 mark at 145 pounds in the Octagon.
