Max Holloway Demands Same Title Shot Treatment as Conor McGregor
Max Holloway is making it clear that he expects to be treated the same way as Conor McGregor when it comes to title shot opportunities. Speaking recently, Holloway addressed the ongoing talk about what McGregor should get if he wins his next fight.
“All I’m hearing on social media is that if Conor wins he should get Gaethje or Islam,” Holloway said. “Takes two to tango so my name better be in there for a title shot.”
Holloway’s message was simple and direct. He believes that if winning a fight puts McGregor in line for a big opportunity, then the same logic should apply to him. After all, both fighters are coming off wins and looking to climb back toward the top of the division.
The former champion has never been one to stay quiet when he feels something is unfair. In this case, he’s pointing out what he sees as double standards in how opportunities are discussed online and in the media.
Holloway is currently preparing for his fight at UFC 329. A win there would put him right back in the mix at welterweight, and he wants to make sure his name isn’t overlooked when the conversation turns to title shots.
