Terence Crawford Fires Back at Ryan Garcia After Title Callout
Terence Crawford answered Ryan Garcia again on Friday, this time with a post that framed a beating so one-sided that people would “call the law.”
The retired champion posted the message on X while the pair’s latest argument was still running from Garcia’s WBC title defense last weekend.
“I’ll f*ck @RyanGarcia up so bad people going to be calling the law on me talking about child abuse,” Crawford wrote. “Like why did you do that to that little boy you knew he was just talking for the entertainment. Here I am.”
The post did not name the “little boy” and did not add a fight date. It did make clear that Crawford is still willing to talk after Garcia spent the week calling him jealous and daring him out of retirement.
Garcia stopped Conor Benn in two rounds on Sept. 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and kept the WBC welterweight title.
Crawford was ringside. He had backed Benn before the fight, which Garcia later cited as proof that Crawford “don’t like me.”
On The Ariel Helwani Show, Garcia said he wanted to “avenge” Canelo Alvarez’s loss to Crawford from September 2025.
“I just want to beat [Crawford’s] ass, to be real,” Garcia said. “Will he come out of retirement? I don’t know but he knows he has to.”
He also called Crawford a “hating ass b*tch” and said jealousy was the reason Crawford picked Benn.
“Come get this smoke then,” Garcia said. “Fck the not liking sht, let’s fight.”
Crawford had already answered that version of the callout. He told Garcia he had “nothing to be jealous of” and called him a “movie character.”
He pointed Garcia toward Devin Haney, Keyshawn Davis, Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson instead.
“I know you want the pay cheque though,” Crawford wrote in that earlier reply.
Friday’s post went further. The child-abuse line was a taunt, not a report of an investigation, and it sat next to Crawford’s claim that Garcia went after someone who “was just talking for the entertainment.”
That is the tone the feud has taken. Garcia is 28, 26-2 with 21 knockouts, and a first-time full world champion coming off a highlight stoppage.
Crawford is 38 or 39, 42-0 with 31 knockouts, and has been retired since December 2025 after beating Alvarez and becoming undisputed at 168 pounds.
No commission has a contract for them. Turki Alalshikh has been mentioned as someone who would listen if Crawford came back, but Crawford has not said he is returning.
Garcia still has at least one fight left on his Golden Boy deal and has also talked about Teofimo Lopez and a possible Gervonta Davis rematch.
A Crawford fight would be the biggest name on that list. It would also require the undefeated retiree to change his mind.
Until that happens, the exchange stays on social media. Garcia keeps asking for the smoke. Crawford keeps answering without putting a date on a ring walk.
Friday’s post was the sharpest reply yet. It did not book a fight. It did tell Garcia, in Crawford’s words, that the beating would not look like a contest between equals.
