Tyson Fury Tells Anthony Joshua He Will Make It a Quick KO
Tyson Fury is training shirtless and talking to Anthony Joshua as if the fight is already booked.
The former two-time heavyweight champion filmed himself in the gym and then outside, calling the long-delayed British heavyweight clash a formality he intends to end fast.
“Training like a Trojan warrior,” Fury said. “Sorry, Joshua. I know you’re afraid, but I won’t hurt ya.”
He did not leave the threat there.
“I’ll make it quick,” Fury said. “I’ll make it a quick KO, so you can get back to your business work, being a landlord and stuff.”
That line was aimed at Joshua’s own earlier jab. After watching Fury beat Arslanbek Makhmudov in April, Joshua told him he was the landlord and Fury worked for him.
Fury turned the insult around and kept going.
“I’ll make it very fast, and I’ll make it pain-free for you and your team,” he said. “And Eddie, I promise not to hurt him too bad, and I promise ya, it’ll be swift, and it’ll be over quite quickly, and you can get back to being a businessman, and know who the Spartan is.”
Eddie is Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter at Matchroom Boxing. Hearn has spent the last two weeks saying an official announcement is imminent and that Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Dec. 11 is the target.
No date or venue has been confirmed by the organizers.
Contracts were signed earlier this year with Saudi promoter Turki Alalshikh and Netflix. The remaining fight has been the venue. Joshua’s deal requires a UK date. Fury’s deal did not. Hearn said Joshua turned down extra money to keep the fight in Britain.
Fury has used that delay as fuel.
“If he ever gets the guts, cause at the minute I hear he’s yellow,” Fury said. “They’re running around yellow like a little coward while he is. White flag! Where are ya white flag?”
He finished the clip the way he finishes most of these.
“I’m coming for ya, you big ugly, useless dossa,” Fury said. “Paper gin. Papa Dom gin. You silly, useless piece of sh*t.”
Those are Fury’s words, not a signed bout sheet.
Fury is 36-2-1 with 25 knockouts after a seventh-round stoppage of Mariusz Wach on July 24 in Pattaya. Joshua is 30-4 with 27 knockouts after climbing off the canvas twice and stopping Kristian Prenga a night later in Jeddah.
Joshua has not answered this video in public. Hearn has not treated the rant as a contract change.
If Cardiff happens in December, Fury’s promise will be tested in a ring instead of a driveway. Until the announcement drops, it remains the same fight British boxing has been waiting a decade to see, still one press conference short of official.
