Vojcak Faces Wojcik for Interim Title at KSW 121
KSW 121 is five days away, and the promotion has locked in a nine-fight card in Liberec built around an interim heavyweight title fight between Štefan Vojčák and Marcin Wójcik. The Sept. 19 show at Home Credit Arena will be KSW’s fourth visit to the Czech city and its first there since February 2025.
The main event changed after champion Phil De Fries withdrew with a cervical spine injury. Vojčák, the No. 1 heavyweight ranked behind De Fries, now meets No. 3 Wójcik for the interim belt instead of a scheduled rematch with the long-reigning champion.
Vojčák is 10-2 and fights as “Mutant.” The 36-year-old Slovak last fought on June 20 at KSW 119, where he submitted Arkadiusz Wrzosek in the second round.
Wójcik is 22-11 and fights as “The Giant.” The Polish veteran has 12 knockouts and seven submissions on his record and stepped in on short notice after De Fries was pulled from the original booking.
The pairing has recent history with the same champion. De Fries stopped Vojčák by third-round TKO at KSW 111 on Oct. 18, 2025, then beat Wójcik at KSW 117 on April 18 in another title defense.
That context is why the interim belt matters. De Fries has held the KSW heavyweight championship since 2018, and the promotion said this will be the first time in more than eight years that anyone other than the British champion wears heavyweight gold, even on an interim basis.
The rest of the card is stacked with ranked names returning to the cage. No. 2 middleweight Michał Michalski (14-6) meets No. 6 Radosław Paczuski (8-3) in a 185-pound bout that KSW has placed high on the main card.
Both men recently came up short in title fights against interim middleweight champion Piotr Kuberski. Paczuski lost that belt fight at KSW 109 in August 2025, and Michalski was stopped in the first round at KSW 118 on May 16.
Welterweight is represented by a ranking collision. No. 1 Muslim Tulshaev (14-4) faces No. 2 Kacper Koziorzębski (13-6) at 170 pounds.
Lightweight brings Leo Brichta back after a title loss. The Czech fighter, listed as the No. 4 featherweight, meets Poland’s No. 9 Kacper Formela (20-6) at 155 pounds after Brichta was submitted by Patryk Kaczmarczyk in the KSW 119 main event.
Featherweight adds another Czech-Polish matchup. No. 3 Łukasz Charzewski (15-3, 1 NC) meets Czech No. 6 Josef Štummer (7-2) at 145 pounds.
The women’s bout is a bantamweight debut collision. Czech fighter Hanka Gelnarová (1-0) faces Poland’s Małgorzata Popowicz, who enters with no professional record listed on the poster.
Two more Polish middleweights share the card below the ranked pairing. Adrian Dudek (8-5) meets Borys Dzikowski (4-4) at 185 pounds.
The catchweight fight is set at 79 kilograms. Tagir Machmudov (3-1) takes on Szymon Kasprzyński (2-0) in a bout that sits between the women’s fight and the remaining welterweight.
Samuel Bílý and Dominik Zadora close the listed welterweight action. Both are early in their KSW runs, with Bílý representing the Czech side and Zadora coming in from Poland.
The promotional caption framed Vojčák against Wójcik as the fight of the night and pointed to Michalski, Paczuski, Brichta and Tulshaev as the names returning to prove themselves. That is billing, not a bonus already awarded, but it does show how KSW wants the Liberec card read: a title fight on top and a run of ranked veterans underneath it.
Broadcast windows are set across the region. Canal+ will carry the show in Poland, RMC Sport in France, Nova Sport in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and KSWTV as the live PPV feed.
Tickets remain on sale through eBilet and Ticketportal. KSW has not announced a start time beyond the Saturday date, and the card as posted has no further replacements after Wójcik’s insertion.
What happens after Liberec depends on the main event. The winner becomes interim heavyweight champion while De Fries recovers, and a later unification fight would be the natural next step if the British titleholder is cleared.
Until then, KSW 121 is the division’s reset. Vojčák and Wójcik are the two men who get to wear the belt first.
