Sean Strickland Pushes Back After Dana White Says He Was Not Banned From UFC White House
Sean Strickland has responded after Dana White said he was not banned from the upcoming UFC White House event.
The situation has become one of the more confusing side stories around the event. White previously said Strickland was not banned, but also explained that the event has limited space and only a small number of tickets available.
Now Strickland has given his side.
In a social media post, Strickland said he wanted to “clarify” the situation after Dana said he was not invited. According to Strickland, after his fight, he was told by Hunter Campbell that the UFC would try to make it happen.
“After my fight Hunter said he will get it done,” Strickland wrote. “UFC filmed it and embedded has the footage.”
Strickland then claimed the situation changed later.
“I later got a call from the UFC saying I wasn’t cleared by the White House,” he added.
Strickland Says the Story Is Not That Simple
Strickland’s response suggests that he does not see the situation as simply not being invited.
From his side, it sounds like he believed there was at least a chance he would attend the UFC White House event. If UFC staff told him they would try to get it done, then later told him he was not cleared, Strickland clearly feels that is different from being left off the guest list from the start.
That is why his response matters.
He is not only reacting to Dana White. He is trying to explain that there was communication behind the scenes that fans may not have known about.
Dana White Says Nobody Was Banned
Dana White’s earlier message was clear: nobody was officially banned.
White joked about Strickland in classic Dana fashion, but then said the event is unique and space is limited. With only 4,300 tickets available, the UFC cannot include everyone who might want to attend.
That explanation made it sound like Strickland was not banned, but also not selected for the event.
Strickland’s response adds another layer because he claims he was later told he was not cleared by the White House.
So now the issue becomes about wording.
Was Strickland banned? Dana says no.
Was Strickland not cleared? Strickland says that is what he was told.
UFC White House Keeps Creating Drama
The UFC White House event already feels different from a normal fight card.
Because of the location, limited attendance, security, and high-profile nature of the event, every guest list decision is going to create attention. When someone like Sean Strickland is involved, the story naturally becomes louder.
Strickland is one of the most outspoken fighters in MMA. He often creates headlines with his comments, and fans expect controversy whenever his name appears in a major event conversation.
This latest exchange only adds more drama to the buildup.
Sean Strickland has pushed back after Dana White said he was not banned from UFC White House.
White says nobody is banned and that the event has limited space. Strickland, however, claims he was later told he was not cleared by the White House after initially being told the UFC would try to make it happen.
The situation still depends on how each side defines it.
But one thing is clear: Strickland is not staying quiet, and the UFC White House event continues to create major discussion before fight night even arrives.
